Handguns can only be shipped by common carriers, but not through the U.S. Postal Service. Long guns can be sent through the U.S. Postal System or common carriers to a federally licensed retailer. You will need to declare your package per federal law, and all firearms must be unloaded. It is a good idea to consult your carrier for advice before shipping it out.
